Applications are now open for Bandera Electric Cooperative’s 2021 youth programs. Each year, BEC offers scholarships to eligible high school seniors and currently enrolled postsecondary students and sends four students to the Government-in-Action Youth Tour in Washington, D.C. The programs reflect BEC’s commitment to the education of its members and their children—the leaders of tomorrow. BEC said in a news release earlier this month that it will award 10, $2,500 scholarships for the 2021-2022 school year. The BEC Scholarship may be applied to a four-year university, junior college or Texas Education Agency-approved trade school as long as the student is considered full time.
