Judge Lynn Holt is announcing his bid for re-election as Justice of the Peace, Precinct Four. Lynn and his wife, Lou, have been married for over 52 years. They have lived in Bandera County and Precinct Four for almost 41 years where they raised their two children. He is a veteran of five years, having served in Indo China as a helicopter pilot in the U. S. Army. He points to his many years of law enforcement experience as being invaluable since being elected in 2004. He has served as a Bandera County Deputy Sheriff and Investigator, Criminal Investigator in the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office for the 144th District Court, and he served almost six years as Chief of Police for the City of Bandera and served for five years as Municipal Court judge.

Judge Holt holds an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Counseling. He has already completed all his state mandated certification training and all in-service required by the State of Texas for this year. Judge Holt has been named to the College of Justice Court Judges for completing training hours over and above the mandatory hours required by the State of Texas for 10 consecutive years and was awarded Judge of the Year by the Justice Court Judges Association in 2016.

Judge Holt has worked in conjunction with the other Justices of the Peace to bring about a consolidation of the justice court procedures, which have resulted in a substantial savings to the taxpayers of Bandera County.

Judge Holt has been an associate member of the Bandera County Republican Women Club for over 20 years. He is a former member of the Utopia Lions Club, past member of the Board of Directors of the Bandera Kiwanis Club, and is a member of the Bandera Masonic Lodge. He is a past president of the Board of Directors of the Hill Country Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse and attends the Tarpley Baptist Church.

Judge Holt has enjoyed his tenure as Justice of the Peace, Precinct Four and serving the people of Bandera County and will continue to serve with your support.
