Breakfast With Santa, the annual Bandera Child Welfare Board Christmas party, was held at the Triple H Ranch in Pipe Creek on Saturday. This party was thrown for the children in the care of the Welfare Board, Triple H’s young clients and the children of veterans.

The threat of bad weather for the second year in a row did not dim the enthusiasm of the children or the adults for this event.

Everyone was treated to a delicious pancake breakfast in the barn at 10 a.m. After the breakfast, youngsters could get a face painting or a visit with Cowboy Santa. To cap off the event, each child picked out a new toy to take home.

The therapy horses hung out in their stalls to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and accept snacks of carrots and pats of appreciation.

Triple H Executive Director Ginger Eways said, “Santa came early to Triple H Equitherapy Center, thanks to the San Antonio Mustang Club. Their toy drive resulted in a truckload of fabulous toys for the children at our annual Pancake Breakfast with Santa party. We are very grateful for their support.”

The Mustang club had vehicles on display for those interested in talking about cars.

The holiday breakfast was sponsored by the Bandera Child Welfare Board, the Bandera County Republican Women and the San Antonio Mustang Club. Triple H staff and volunteers were also available to help with all the details.

The Mustang Club brought a huge load of toys for Santa to distribute to the kids.

The little ones’ eyes grew wide as they walked around the room examining the toys, searching for the perfect one. After they selected their favorite, they clutched them to their chests in amazement.

Children and parents expressed their appreciation numerous times to the volunteers who worked hard to make this party a success.
