Barrel racing promoter couple Troy and Karen Konvicka had good news at their event at Mansfield Park Arena Sunday, March 6, which drew a good number of people to participate in Barrel racing or watch it.

“Last November we did a barrel race event after the 2022 Hooey Junior Patriot Qualifier and we were asked if we could do more Barrel Racings in Bandera,” recalled Karen. “Since we had a great arena and if we did some that it would give another place for Barrel Racer to come and run. We want to bring more Rodeo events to Bandera, helping with keeping Bandera the Cowboy Capital of the World,”

“We will be having seven more barrel races at Mansfield Park Arena. We feel that more rodeo events need to be held in Bandera, as we are the Cowboy Capital of the World,” she added.

The Konvickas have a business called Lazy K Production “Riding on Faith Rodeo’’ that puts on all types of rodeos, including putting on seven summer youth rodeos, according to Troy.
