The Hill Country Chapter of the Texas Master Naturalists held a Welcome Reception for members of the 2019 training class on Aug. 19 in Kerrville.
Through the annual training course, chapter officials strive to equip a corps of well-informed volunteers whose objectives are to provide education, outreach and service dedicated to the beneficial management of natural resources and natural areas within their local communities.
The new class members, as part of their certification as Master Naturalists, will take part in weekly classes from Aug. 21 to mid-November, will complete 40 hours of volunteer service and eight hours of advanced training.
