Last month, the Medina Community Library hosted Wade Parson and Colleen Nichola, retired archaeologists. The two taught present young adults about Native Americans and their hunting weapons. Before going outside to use the atlatls (a prehistoric spear thrower), the group learned about how Native Americans used pottery, edible plants, feathers, knives, projectile points and more through displays brought by the duo.
