June dance drawing interest outside Bandera

Posted in:

A Daddy-Daughter Date Night scheduled for June 5 at the Pipe Creek Dance Hall is already drawing interest, and not just from those in Bandera County.

Coordinator Epi Quiroga said he was overwhelmed by the amount of interest people have shown in the event.

“People as far as Kerrville, san Antonio, Helotes, Borene and Hondo are inquiring about our event,” he said.

The Saturday evening event will feature a catered dinner, live music by Bret Mullins, free raffles, a photo booth and more.

Quiroga said the idea for the date night came to him following a conversation with his ten-year-old daughter.

“We were talking about doing something fun for a night, just me and her. I told her we can have a special date, just me and her. Her face lit up like a Christmas tree,” he recalled.

“At that moment, I thought about other dads and daughters in our community needing a special night out, especially after being isolated for so long.”

Tickets, priced at $25 a person through May 23, after which they will rise to $30, can be purchased by calling Epi Quiroga at 210-863-6164 or emailing

All ages are welcome at the alcohol-free event, which is scheduled to run from 6-10:30 p.m.

The Pipe Creek Dance Hall is located at 9879 Hwy 16 S.
