Bandera’s new A Girl and A Gun chapter held its first range events on Tuesday, May 4, and another the following Thursday at the Bandera Gun Club with ten shooters participating on both days combined. Topics covered included how to properly load a gun, how to stand and shoot and other safety advice. “I have had a gun for three years and carry with me for protection,” said local Realtor Carol J. Woodward, who attended Tuesday’s event. “I want to get better with my weapon, and it is easier for a woman to teach other women how to use a gun,” she continued.
