Have you wanted to pick up a new language or maybe brush off your Spanish skills? Join our new twice-weekly Spanish classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. in the Texana Room.

Each class is by donation to cover the cost of materials.

On Thursday, January 26, we have a representative from AETNA here to answer any questions about Medicaid coverage. He can also get your child registered for CHIP and SNAP.

Come by between 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to get your questions answered.

January 26 is also the return of Family Reading Night. The group meets on Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. in the Downstairs Meeting Room for dedicated reading and literacy time.

At home it is just too easy to let other things get in the way. Bring your little ones who can benefit from focused attention on their reading skills.

There are also spelling games and flash cards available to help make literacy fun. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer for Family Reading Night give the library a call at 830-796-4213 to get signed up.

Mark your calendars for our next author visit. Local business owner and author Jenny Forks will be here discussing her book, “Feet First: Braving it On Faith Alone.”

The book tells her story of trauma, fear and redemption. Jenny will be here from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. to tell her story, talk about her decision to write her story in a book and to sign copies of her book.
