Bandera Library Happenings

As the weather continues to be cool, there are plenty of great titles to curl up with and stay warm. The best way to make sure you never miss a new book by your favorite authors is to register through your online account. You can select your favorite authors so as a new title is released you will automatically be put on the reserve list. The library’s online system has over 50 authors you can select to be a favorite author. Not sure how to do this? Call the library or stop by and one of the librarians can help you. That’s what we are here for!

New titles this week include the latest Gray Man thriller by Mark Greaney called “Relentless” Relentless. An agent who goes missing is one thing. When two more suddenly disappear without a trace, there’s a conspiracy. Spies and intelligence ops are disappearing all over the world. However, when one American spy resurfaces in Venezuela, Court Gently aka the Gray Man, is sent there to bring him back. A team of assassins is waiting for him, and he barely makes it out alive. Meanwhile, CIA agent Zoya Zakharova is on assignment in Berlin with one purpose: infiltrate a shadowy private intelligence firm. It doesn’t take long for Zakharova to learn the more answers she gets, the less likely she’ll survive this case. Court and Zoya know they are pawns, but the question remains who is the king?

Fans of J.A. Jance will be excited to hear of a new mystery. Young Jennifer Brady is really looking forward to returning to Northern Arizona University for her sophomore year. Jenny is paired up with freshman Beth Rankin, a brilliant young woman who is experiencing her first taste of freedom. Beth starts exploring her freedom a bit too much and lands into trouble. One day, Jenny discovers Beth has disappeared and calls campus police and her mom, Sheriff Joanna Brady. The sheriff has to call in a favor to help find the young woman As they say, no good deed goes unpunished. Jenny’s worries for her roommate have landed her square in the path of a criminal hellbent on revenge.

The Bandera Library is open Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Curbside service is still available for checkouts and business services. Free WiFi is available 24/7.
