A local family prepares to enjoy a dinner meal at Hen’s Nest Friday, Jan. 15. The Bandera eatery has been open strictly in daytime and dedded to celebrate its second anniversary by opening from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Jan 15 to let regulars and new customers experience supper at the location. “Our second anniversary party was so much fun that we dedded to try opening one evening each month,” said owner Sheri Hilton. “It will remain a casual event, BYOB and with full menu available. Members of the Bandera County Democratic Club presented the Arthur Nagel Community Clinic with a donation last Friday at the Village of Hope campus, which houses both the Nagel clinic and Helping Hand. The Nagel clinic provides healthcare services, without charge, to 500 low-income, medically underserved residents.
