Cross Country

The Bandera Middle School cross-country teams competed at our home meet last Wednesday afternoon at Bandera City Park.

The eighth grade boys placed fifth out of nine teams. Braden Cox led the way for Bandera, finishing in third place overall.

Kaitlin Doebbler also placed third in the eighth grade girl’s division, leading Bandera to an eighth place finish out of 11 teams.

The seventh grade boys and girls did well, with the boys finishing in fourth and the girls grabbing a team silver, finishing second. The girls had five finishers in the top 25. Eight BMS runners set new personal records at the Bandera meet: Andy Girrard, Beto Musquiz, David Padgett, Emily Presa, Gavin Hauk, Josh Paxton, Kyle Moore and Rance Roden.

Eighth grade

The Bulldogs hosted the Ingram Warriors on Thursday evening and the guests were less than neighborly, defeating Bandera by a 28-0 tally.

Bandera offensive standouts were QB Gavin Ortiz, RB Kevin Rodriguez and TE Ian McDonald. Defensively, the Bulldogs were led by Desawn Gullory.

BMS will travel to Fredericksburg tomorrow to face the Billies.
