Shanon James Lewis was called to his heavenly Father on Sept. 30 after three years of a courageous battle with cancer.

Shanon was born Oct. 31, 1960 in Brownwood.

Those left to cherish his life are his wife Rhonda Lynn Lewis of Pipe Creek; son Shawn Lewis and wife Shantay of Pipe Creek; daughter Rhiannon Lewis of Canyon; three grandchildren; mother Madgie Sue Williams of Pipe Creek; sisters Daniellia Hesson and husband Weldon of San Antonio, Donya Long and husband Johnny of Round Rock; and brother Thomas Williams and wife Priscilla of Pipe Creek; along with several nieces and nephews.

Shanon worked many years in the gas compression industry. He enjoyed his Dallas Cowboys, Houston Astros, fishing, and had a very competitive nature. He loved his family and with them is where he spent most of his time.

He is preceded in death by his fathers Howard Lewis and Virgil Williams; and son Tyler James Lewis.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am, Saturday, Oct. 6 at Grimes Funeral Chapel in Bandera with Pastor Phil Taylor officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
