CHARLES “HUTCH” HUTCHESON

Charles Robert “Hutch” Hutcheson, age 67, passed away on Sunday, June 10, at his home after a nine-year battle with cancer.

He was born on March 4, 1951 in Bandera, Texas to C.E. and Evelyn Hutcheson.

At age 15, he received his pilot’s license from the Hondo Flying Club and did his first solo flight at age 16.

He graduated from Bandera High School and received a rodeo scholarship to attend Sul Ross University in Alpine, Texas.

He resided in Bandera his entire life.

He was an avid hunter, fisherman and horse racing enthusiast.  He was a welder and fence builder by trade.

He was preceded in death by his father C.E., mother Evelyn and brother John Hutcheson.

He leaves behind his brother H.A. “Speedy,” his wife Leanne, nephew Ray Lee Hutcheson, wife Alexandria and their children, Hank and Hayzee, and his longtime “pard,” Connie Smith.

His celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 20, at 4 p.m. at the 11th Street Cowboy Bar.
