Eva Marie Evans, 94, of Blue Springs, Missouri, went to be with her lord and savior on

Saturday, June 30, 2018.

A funeral service was held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2018, at First Baptist Church of Blue Springs, Missouri, 4600 Little Blue Parkway, Independence, Missouri.

Visitation was one hour prior to service.  Burial was in the Blue Springs Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Impact Ministries in care of the church.

Eva Marie was born Jan. 17, 1924 in Tarpley, Texas, the daughter of Henry Lee and Clara (Hicks) Mansfield.

She loved being a homemaker and pastor’s wife.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Blue Springs and was active in the Impact Ministries at the church.

She went on five mission trips to India after losing her husband.  Her greatest love was telling people about Jesus. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rev. Harold T. Evans; son, John; and brother, Norman Mansfield.

Survivors include daughter, Ruth Rice (Richard) of Kearney, Missouri, son, Jim Evans (Diane) of Blue Springs, Missouri, daughter, Janice Patterson (Chris) of Harrisonville, Missouri, daughter-in-law, Yvonne Evans Woods (Tom) of Blue Springs, Missouri, grandchildren, Renee Fuehring (Brett), Rebecca Plueger (Josh), Nathan Evans (Mandy), Matthew Evans (Ambrah), Lane Patterson (Erin), Chad Patterson (Jenna) and Cody Patterson, (Jamie), great-grandchildren, Grace, Jonah, and Noah Fuehring, Conner Plueger, Kaiden, Beckem, Avalyn and Annabelle Evans, Colton Patterson, Hailee Cheatum, and Levi Newman, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
